Prime Minister writes to ministers

After issuing directions to the finance ministry on the Budget, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday wrote to the council of ministers, asking them to stick to the government’s proposed 100-day agenda.

Confirming about the missive, which the Prime Minister has sent to his Cabinet colleagues and also minister of states, sources in the PMO said, it is a kind of write advisory, which is meant more for the new and young ministers, who needed to be told about the “do’s and don’ts”.

Asking all his colleagues in the ministry to keep in mind the poll promises, while implementing schemes under their respective ministries, the Prime Minister is learnt to have cautioned them not to share differences of opinion with the media.
