External affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter is being stalked by a person for the past few months after which her security has been enhanced by the police, sources said. Sharmishta Mukherjee has been provided with three security officers since March 9. —PTI The daughter of external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee was stalked by a person for the past few months after which her security has been enhanced by Delhi police, official sources said on Thursday.

Sharmishta Mukherjee has been provided with three personal security officers since March 9 after the Union home ministry directed the Delhi police to provide security to the well known Kathak dancer, the police sources said.

“The minister’s daughter has been provided X-category security cover after the home ministry and the intelligence bureau reviewed the threat perception,” a top Delhi police official said.
